The Outdoor Pools open at 5:00pm on the Friday before Memorial Day.

The Riviera Club has always been the place to swim for over 80 years where generations of families have enjoyed the summer sun. Many children begin with swim lessons, join the swim team and then are hired for a summer job. Eventually they marry and the cycle begins again.

Built in 1933, the main pool is one of largest in the country holding over 1,300,000 gallons of water, measures 150 feet by 300 feet and includes large areas of shallow and deeper  water. The main pool has 10 lane – 50 meter course, a 5 lane – 25 yard course available all day for lap swimming. The included diving well features a 1-meter and 3-meter board.  For the younger swimmers, there is a 2 feet deep junior pool and a larger 2″ to 4″ deep wading pool. The main pool has a large spiral slide in the deeper water and a smaller slide in the shallow area. The wading pool also has a small child’s slide. Separate men’s and women’s locker rooms are available to secure your belongings, which have lockers, showers, changing stalls, and restrooms. Your must bring your own lock. The pools are staffed daily by Red Cross certified lifeguards and managers.

Numerous sun decks and lounge chairs are spaced around the pools for your comfort, along with tables and umbrellas for periodic breaks from the summer sun. Other than casual swimming and sun bathing, additional activities offered during the summer are early morning lap swimming for adults, swim team, swim lessons for children and adults, scuba, swimnastics and lifeguard training.

One of the best features of the outdoor pools is the Beach Stand/Snack Shack where you can enjoy great poolside food. Food offerings include the famous Rivi Grilled Cheese!
