Welcome Riviera Club's new General Manager and Chief Operating Officer.

Greetings!
I am William A. Rhodehamel and it is a pleasure to introduce myself as your new General Manager and Chief Operating Officer. I am honored by the responsibility entrusted to me by your Board of Directors. The Riviera Club is a jewel in our community and I am thrilled to be part of it!
My main focus coming into the GM position is Member service. As a former small business owner I understand how critical it is to create exceptional customer service. I will be challenging your staff to consistently create exceptional experiences. I am also very focused on growing our membership, both through retaining our current Members and encouraging more people of "good humor and high character" to join us. In addition I will be challenging the staff - and you, our Members - to expand our existing programs and services and explore new ones to enhance our community and provide more value for your Club membership. I look forward to working on all these issues with the Members, the Board and the staff.
A few words about myself. My family has deep roots in Indiana, going back all the way to the 1820s. I was born and raised in Indianapolis and have fond memories of Rivi from childhood. My professional background is in small business and nonprofits. For the past 20 years I have been running my own business, Hoosier Orchid Company, on the northwest side of Indianapolis. I have also been involved at a volunteer leadership level with a national, membership-based nonprofit for more than 15 years. For more details of my education and career you can view my LinkedIn profile at http://www.linkedin.com/in/williamrhodehamel. My wife Megan and I will celebrate our twentieth anniversary this fall. Our 13 year old son Benjamin is in seventh grade at Orchard, and we live in a 150 year old farm house just off 86th Street in eastern Hendricks County.
I look forward to meeting each of you personally as I settle into this position. I will be attending just about every event at the Club and will be scheduling some informal question and answer sessions with members, including a Town Hall on Monday 2/22/10, so I can get your direct input. If I can be of any assistance please do not hesitate to contact me personally. You can reach by phone at 255-5471 or by email at
