Rowbics

Rowbics is a 50-minute, indoor rowing class designed for men and women of all ages and fitness levels. Complete with upbeat music, unique moves and motivational cuesstudents tout this program as one of the most complete, total body workouts. It is high calorie burning, muscle sculpting and cardio conditioning. The gliding motion of the rowing  machines is low-impact and works all major muscles for a balanced and safe, full-body workout.  No prior experience necessary.


Booty Camp
Booty Camp is a no-nonsense fitness program that mixes resistance and cardio training in the great outdoors. Booty Camp uses a circuit training format, with frequent changing of each exercise. The unique mix of exercises can be adjusted for a range of fitness levels. You will see some traditional “boot camp” exercises – yes, there will be some push-ups! But there will also be many new exercises revamped for Booty Camp from many fitness modalities such as pilates and core training, active stretching, short-distance running, plyometrics, body weight and balance training.

Muscle Builders

Muscle Builders is a great class to receive educated and motivational training from a machine and dumbell weight standpoint. You will expect an hour of properly used muscle groups and even a little abs and heart work.

Come to Muscle Builders, a class designed for you to get that extra shape in your muscles and strength overall.  A Certified Trainer will help you use weight training to develop a healthy physique.  Extra benefits will include abdominal and balance work as well as use of the cardio equipment.

Lunch Time Boot Camp
Take your workout outside and to the next level. This unique class moves you outside in the fresh air for a totally different kind of workout. Don't think about it, make it happen!

Yoga
A powerful dynamic movement format based in Vinyasa Flow but drawing from many types of Yoga.

Zumba
The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Our goal is simple: We want you to want to work out, to love working out, to get hooked. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you've got a Zumba® class!

Senior Fitness
All levels of seniors are welcome. Work on muscular strength, balance, flexibility, range of motion using a chair, hand weights, resistance bands and small balls. Meet in fitness room across from gym. Bring water!

Pilates
An innovative system of mind-body exercise. Pilates dramatically transforms the way your body looks, feels and performs. It builds strength without excess bulk, creating a sleek, toned body with slender thighs and a flat abdomen. It teaches body awareness, good posture and easy, graceful movement. Pilates improves flexibility, agility and economy of motion. Pilates is a safe, sensible exercise system, that no matter what your age or condition, will help you look and feel your very best.

Walk/Run Training for Women
It’s the training program for women of ALL ages and experience levels who wish to “Tune Up” their bodies. By participating in group runs/walks and valuable group seminars with attention to your individual needs we will help you get ready for the Monumental November 6th. Or just join in for the information and camaraderie, if you don’t plan on racing. We meet each Wednesday at 6pm for coaching and a topic of interest followed by a group run or walk. We also meet each Sunday at 7:30am for a long run/walk. An open information session will be held July 14th at the Riviera Club.

Yoga Fitness
Yoga is for Every Body! Learn the foundations of yoga and experience its transformational effects. Explore proper alignment and correct breathing while developing strength, flexibility, and balance in a supportive environment. Linking your breath and movement energizes your mind, body and spirit. Experience the power of yoga.



Jeanie Gensheimer's Martial Arts

Karate classes are available for adults, children and families! Learn a new art and earn your black belt!

Karate brings out the best in adults and children! The benefits of karate include: memory, fitness, discipline, focus, coordination, agility, self control, decision making skills, social skills, persistence and self defense. The most important reason to take karate (according to the students) is that it's fun! We have the most wonderful group of karate students here at the Riviera Club.

All students begin as a white belt and progress through the belt ranks. Higher rank students learn to teach and develop leadership skills. Discipline and self control are gently encouraged for children. 

The Instructor
: Jeanie Gensheimer is a fifth degree black belt in the style of Shorei Goju Ryu. She holds a master's degree in Marital and Family Therapy from Butler University, as well as degrees in early childhood education and psychology. Master Kay Myers (a 7th degree black belt!) assists in teaching the class.

In an energetic environment, participants are introduced to the basic fundamentals

Ballroom Dance by Michael Fatyanov
